What is Kybella®?

The Kybella® Treatment
Before your Kybella® treatment, your provider will examine the area under your chin to determine if this treatment is right for you. If so, a personalized treatment plan will be created to help make your aesthetic goals a reality.
To begin, the area under your chin will be cleansed and a topical numbing cream applied to ensure you are comfortable during treatment. Then, your provider will mark small dots on the treatment area to map out where the injections will take place. Multiple injections will be needed, which take about 15-20 minutes to complete.
Who is a Candidate?
Adults 18 years and older who are unhappy or embarrassed by fat under their chin and do not wish to undergo surgery can often benefit from Kybella®. However, you should not receive this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have had or plan on having surgery on your face or neck, or have bleeding problems. Downtime
Following your Kybella® treatment, you may experience some swelling, bruising, or numbness under your chin. However, these effects will dissipate with time.
Because everyone has different treatment goals, the number of treatment sessions needed will vary from patient to patient. Each session should be given at least one month apart, and you should not undergo more than six treatments.
