Cosmetic Spider Vein Treatment
First State Vein & Laser Center utilizes a combination of sclerotherapy and radiofrequency techniques to treat spider veins. Varicose veins are treated with sclerotherapy alone. Vein treatments are performed at our office and don't require local anesthesia. You can walk out of the office after vein treatment and immediately resume your normal activities. Compression stockings, which are sold at our office, should be worn for one week following varicose vein treatments.
Laser
The YAG laser delivers the precise dosage of energy to zap away problematic spider veins without affecting nearby healthy blood vessels or skin tissue. The entire procedure generally takes only 20 to 30 minutes and no anesthesia is required.
VeinGogh
A revolutionary radiofrequency machine called the VeinGogh provides state-of-the-art spider vein treatments. Radiofrequency vein treatments are a fast and easy way to reliably treat cosmetically undesirable spider veins. Microbursts of high-frequency electrical energy are delivered into the vein using a hair-thin probe. The vessel walls collapse and spider veins will no longer be visible on the surface of the skin.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is the most common spider vein treatment. Using a tiny needle, a solution that causes the vein walls to swell, stick together and seal shut is injected into the vein. Blood flow is restricted and in a few weeks, the vein should fade. Sclerotherapy vein treatments are highly effective. Patients can expect about 80% of their treated veins to fade away. Sclerotherapy treatments are not typically considered painful. Depending on the severity and the extent of the spider veins or varicose veins, 2 to 5 vein treatments are typically needed to eliminate the appearance of veins in the legs. The procedure has no downtime and patients can return to their normal activities immediately following sclerotherapy vein treatment.

In-house Ultrasound
Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy (UGS) treats advanced varicose veins hidden beneath the skin. It’s a highly-specialized and effective procedure that involves injecting a sclerosant solution into the abnormal veins under ultrasound guidance, causing the vein wall to collapse.
Laser Ablation
Also known as endovenous laser ablation (EVLA), this image-guided and minimally invasive treatment uses radiofrequency or laser energy to cauterize and close the abnormal veins that lead to varicose veins.
