Dr. Nadiv Shapira
MD FACS
Dr. Shapira is an expert in fat disorder disease and is one of a handful of surgeons in the United States who performs a specialized liposuction procedure for Lipedema. Before founding First State Med Spa, Dr. Shapira was a board-certified practicing Cardiothoracic Surgeon for over 20 years.
Lynn Shapira,
Practice Manager & Marketing Director
Lynn’s love of aesthetics goes back to her years as the founder of Exhibit Arts, an Exhibit Design and Management firm in New York City. She moved to Israel in 1995 with her new husband, Dr. Nadiv Shapira and helped to develop a new Museum of Natural History at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, as their Exhibit Designer. After her two children were born and the Shapira family moved back to the U.S. Lynn combined her love of design and her desire to help women in need by working with Israeli Bedouin Arab women to create beautiful handmade textiles that Lynn marketed to major retail outlets in the U.S. In 2011, Lynn began to help Dr. Shapira with his busy MedSpa and eventually took over the management and marketing for First State MedSpa.
Ally Longshaw,
Client Coordinator & Social Media Manager
Ally has been working behind our front desk for over 5 years. Throughout her time here at First State Med Spa, Ally has managed our marketing and customer coordination. She spends the majority of her day assisting our wonderful clients. Ally has worked with customer service since she was just 15 years old, later competing in Teen Miss Delaware, and graduating with her Associates Degree in 2019. She is currently furthering her studies in the medical field, where she will eventually work in Sonography! Ally enjoys spending time with her family and friends in her free time and loves to put her creative mind at work. “I couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with. First State Med Spa has become a second home to me, and I look forward to learning more in the upcoming years!”
Tara Sparks
MLE - Medical Licensed Aesthetician
Tara is a talented licensed skin care specialist who realized her love of skin later in life. She attended the Academy of Massage and Bodywork in Bear, DE and graduated a week after her youngest child started kindergarten. Tara knew she wanted to work with clients in a medical setting, in order to help enhance their natural beauty in the most effective way. She furthered her Aesthetics knowledge by taking courses in laser technology and now holds certificates in multiple laser platforms. She performs high-tech RF microneedling, laser hair removal, tattoo removal, skin tightening, body sculpting and loves to perform relaxing facials, peels and skin extractions! Tara is always up for learning something new and enjoys assisting Dr. Shapira in more advanced procedures.
Suellen Scheiner,
Nurse Injector
Suellen brings her cheerful demeanor and 14+ years of Aesthetic Nursing experience to First State MedSpa! Before finding her passion in Cosmetic Nursing in 2007, she practiced as a PCU and CCU nurse after graduating from the Bebee School of Nursing in Lewes, Delaware in 1996. Suellen takes pride in offering the latest in injectables and skin care technology for the ultimate treatment in facial rejuvenation. Listening to each clients specific needs, providing a comfortable treatment environment and making sure each client leaves with a smile are her goals!
Carolyn Lore,
Office Manager
After working in corporate America and teaching preschool Carolyn found her way to First State MedSpa. She came with a strong background in customer service (banking and corporate). “You know you’ve found the perfect job when you enjoy coming in each day to your “work family”, she says. “ It is great being part of a team that works together to ensure client satisfaction.” In her time away from the office she enjoys spending time with her family and stitching.

Keisha is passionate about working at First State MedSpa and feels blessed to work with such an amazing doctor, great teacher and mentor. She loves helping and caring for people in need and is always willing to go above and beyond, providing the best care and experience for all clients. She loves our team, who she now calls family!

We are so happy to be open again and want you to know that we are talking multiple precautions to ensure your health, safety and comfort. All areas are disinfected between clients, high intensity air filters are being used, social distancing is in effect whenever possible, masks are mandatory, the health and temperature of staff and guests are closely monitored, our waiting area is temporarily closed and clients are asked to wait in their cars until we can insure that they will not come into contact with anyone other than their providers.
