What is Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is a dermal filler created with CaHA, which provides immediate contouring and stimulation of collagen and elastin production. When Radiesse® is injected into your skin, the CaHA particles integrate with your tissue to create a “scaffold”. As the gel carrier breaks down over time, a network of collagen fibers forms to create a renewed and youthful skin structure.

The Radiesse® Treatment
To begin your Radiesse®, your skin will be cleansed, and a topical numbing cream will be applied to make sure you are comfortable during treatment. Next, your injector will skillfully inject the Radiesse® into the targeted areas. Treatment is quick and can be completed over your lunch hour.
Over time, the CaHA particles will dissolve, leaving you with your own collagen and elastin for a more youthful appearance.
Who is a Candidate?
Ideal candidates for Radiesse® are adults who are between the ages of 25 and 60 and wish to smooth lines and wrinkles around their mouth and nose. It can also be used to plump the skin on the back of the hands for a more youthful appearance. You should not receive this treatment if you have a bleeding disorder, a history of severe allergies, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Downtime
Following your Radiesse® injections, you may experience mild swelling, redness, bruising, and itching at the injection site. There is no downtime required following treatments, which makes this treatment a great choice for those with busy schedules. We do advise that you avoid strenuous exercise and direct sun and heat for the first 24 hours for the best results.
You will be able to see noticeable results immediately after injection. However, full results should be seen after about one week. Touch-up injections may be needed every two years.
