What is Revanesse® Versa™?
Revanesse Versa is an FDA-approved hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal and soft tissue filler that can be used to smooth lines and wrinkles and enhance facial volume for a fresh, youthful appearance. The formula is slightly thinner than other dermal fillers.
Versa uses wet milling technology and spherical and uniform hyaluronic acid particles. Because of this special formula and technology, the results are more uniform and natural-looking than other fillers.
It can also address a wide range of skin concerns, including volume loss, severe facial wrinkles like nasolabial folds, perioral lines, and marionette lines to achieve natural-looking results.
The Revanesse® Versa™ Treatment
Your Revanesse Versa filler treatment will begin with your provider cleansing the treatment area and marking the intended treatment sites. From there, they will prepare the injections and use a thin needle to inject the dermal filler into the skin. Most patients require no anesthesia and tolerate it very well. The smaller and more uniformly shaped hyaluronic acid molecules also make it virtually pain-free.
You will likely only need one dose of the formula as it is thin enough to distribute evenly over the treatment area.
Who is a Candidate?
Almost anyone struggling with volume loss or looking to treat moderate to severe lines and wrinkles is a good candidate for Revanesse Versa. We also require you to be over the age of 22, not pregnant or breastfeeding, and in good overall health. You should also have realistic expectations of treatment.
This is not the treatment for you if you have a history of hypertrophic scarring, have acne or other chronic skin diseases, or are allergic to any ingredients in the formula.
During your consultation, your provider will discuss your medical history, skin type, skin laxity, previous treatments, and the severity of your wrinkles to ensure this hyaluronic acid filler is the right treatment for you.
Downtime
There is almost no downtime with Revanesse Versa treatment. You may experience some mild swelling (although less swelling than other dermal fillers), bruising, tenderness, and itching at the injection site, but these side effects will dissipate over the following days. You will want to avoid blood thinners, alcohol, smoking, massaging the treatment area, and intense heat or excess sun exposure in the days after your injections. You should also avoid strenuous activities for about a week.
You will see immediate results and more improvements will continue over the following days, with full results in 2-4 weeks. The results can last anywhere from 9 to 18 months, and re-treatment will be needed to maintain the results.
