Are you tired of using mascara or an eyelash curler every day to give your lashes some definition or shape? Or perhaps you feel that your eyelashes could use a boost. If you desire longer, fuller, more luscious lashes without costly and time consuming lash extensions? If so, you may be a great candidate for a lash lift. This quick and easy treatment uses natural ingredients to give you the lashes you desire!
What is a Lash Lift?
A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that helps you achieve thicker, fuller eyelashes. Your natural lashes are boosted at the root, giving them a lengthened and lifted look. The results of a lash lift are not permanent but should last for over a month.
The Lash Lift Process
To begin your lash lift you will remove your eye makeup, as well as contact lenses if you are wearing them. Next, your aesthetician or provider will stick down your lower lashes to separate them from the upper lashes. A treatment serum will then be painted onto the top lashes, lifting them upward from the root onto a silicone rod to give them the desired look. A volumizer and tint may also be applied. Your lashes will then be cleaned and brushed. This procedure usually takes about 45 minutes to complete.
Who is a Candidate?
Most anyone who has straight lashes or wishes to improve the look of their lashes can benefit from a lash lift. However, individuals with a history of skin allergies or who have an active infection in or near the eye should not receive a lash lift. Aftercare
Following your lash lift, it is important to avoid cleaning around the eyes, getting the lashes wet, or applying makeup for 48 hours to allow the lift to set. After the initial 48 hours, you should also avoid using waterproof mascara, using oils and eye masks on and around the eye, avoid eyelash curlers, and try to avoid rubbing your eyes. Results can last for 6-8 weeks before another treatment is needed.
